A Rich History of Quality Meats
Hello, I’m Alan Mauger, owner of Agnes Meats. In 1965 my father, Elwin Mauger, purchased the shop from Paul Agnes (hence the name). I began working for my dad part-time in 1970 when I was 12 years old. I worked summer vacations and weekends until I graduated in 1976. After working full time in the business for 8 years I realized that I wanted to own it, and I purchased it from my father in 1984.
Now Featuring Piedmontese Beef
Piedmontese beef is incredibly lean, yet still tender and flavorful, rivaling prime-grade cuts of meat. It is often called “The Next Wagyu” by those in the know. Piedmontese cattle are never given antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. Every animal is DNA tested to ensure the natural Piedmontese genetics that produce tender, healthier beef.
